Description

Update 2016-08-10 I now recommend printing this in ABS. With the car parked in the sun today, outside temp. was 103F (39.4C), the PLA got soft and started to deform. ------- Update 2015-12-28 I've added a new version of this holder to accommodate my iPhone 6s Plus. The channel for the phone is slightly wider and it includes a cutout for the power button, so it isn't accidentally triggered. I've also expanded the tabs on the front so I can reach the navigate button on the Waze app, which is in the far bottom left corner. --------- My kids designed this iPhone6 bracket for my WRX. Used with a right-angle Lightning adaptor, it fits perfectly in the center console. This is modeled for my phone with a Spigen case which makes the phone about 9.5mm thick. The bracket is attached to the car with 3M command strips so it can be easily removed. Of course Velcro would be another option. I printed the prototype in blue, but the final in silver to match the dash.
