Description

My Tacoma has matching cargo storage boxes built into each side of the bed near the tailgate. I wanted a way to attach a cargo net for holding groceries at the rear of the bed and figured that I could reuse the bolts that hold the storage boxes in. I decided to add cavities to provide bungee cord capability as well. There are two designs, each with a left and right bracket. The one marked Tacoma is specifically made to fit around the plastic lip on the Tacoma's storage boxes. If you have a different truck you may wish to use the flat design. Here's the cargo net I used: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00076QA4C Update 6/2/2017 ----------------------- Had two of the strap pins snap under a heavy load so made a modified design that I'm uploading here, marked _v2. Let me know if you're using these and how they're working out for you. _v3 has enlarged tabs for added strength, but might not work if you don't have that much stretch in your cargo net. Update 6/12/2017 ----------------------- Added additional supports around the screw holes because I had one piece bend under load. This should add some strength. Note that Tacoma models are marked "taco", they are made specifically to fit around the bed compartments to keep them from spinning around. Update 8/2/2017 ----------------------- Had a few tie-downs fail in a few ways so I've completely redesigned them for my Tacoma. I've moved the screw hole to the center and added a lip to keep them from spinning, as well as strengthened the strap connectors. Finally, I've started printing everything in PetG. PLA cannot handle the Texas heat and sun outdoors!
