Description

2020 July 15 UPDATE: After some time of using it in the car I figured out that PLA is not good. In the summer it is quite hot inside and the PLA deforms easily. Hence it is better to print with ABS. INITIAL TEXT: This is my first design in Fusion 360. It is a holder for the phone. There is a plenty of solutions, I know, but most of them are based on a sucker but it usually disattach after a time. This is troublesome especially on a highway at 140 km/h when suddenly it drops down. Hence, I designed a holder for Jeep Renegade (currently my car). The holder is attached by clips to the column/post between a two air outlets (see photos). The holder match to any smartphone of size between 69 to 73 mm and thickness < 9.5mm. But anyone using Fusion 360 can dowonload it from https://a360.co/2IgI8hu and modify to any phone size. The holder is simple to disattach. You need to use your thumbs holding the part and push at the circle fields and push it while removing the holder. The holder has also springing pins on both sides to keep the phone tightly. It is good to print it vertically with support Everywhere set to 80deg.
