Description

The Land Rover Defender Td5 Centre Console has a regular lighter socket on the left hand side. If you have a rear wiper, on the right hand side is the control for that. Mine however doesn't have that and I thought it would be an ideal place to put a QuickCharge USB outlet. On mine, the hole was covered by a clipped-in plastic cover. Removal reveals an ugly rectangular hole next to a circular hole. I drilled out the circular hole to 30mm, big enough for the USB outlet. This printed piece covers the rectangular hole and lines up with the circular one. The trim piece is held in place by the USB outlet itself. The outlet was from eBay - and seems to work pretty well, charging my phone in under an hour.
