Description

This phone holder/charge stand is based on the Ford Mustang Logo emblem by RomanC54 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2786520 I decided to convert this to a phone stand/charge station as a gift for my brother who is a proud owner of a Mustang. I have tried to put many variations of the model as I modeled it for a Samsung Galaxy S7 with the original Samsung USB/micro USB charge cable. It can be used a s Phone stand when the Mustang is seated or a 3D Mustang model that can stand upright galloping. I have added a split model that can be printed in two bits. This is great because if you find that you destroyed the part where the micro USB fits or need to modify it in fusion you don't need to print the upper half again-up to you. I have made in red for the real thing but also in orange and white just for fun. The models 1, 2 and 3 have slightly different angles for the orientation of micro USB and thus the angle of phone. If you are using a non-Samsung brand micro USB cable you could make the slot bigger by sanding or shaping with a scalpel or modifying the STL file in Fusion 360 but it might be easier to use a scalpel and trim the plastic to fit at an optimal angle so phone will sit in the cradle well. Don't forget to check the orientation of the micro USB socket on phone and the micro USB on cable. Also pass the micro USB through the rectangular hole in the tail and then insert into the rectangular hole where the phone sits. When you are happy with the orientation and seating of phone it is best to glue the micro USB into the socket so you don't push it through every time you plug in the phone.
