Description

Put together this hub cap a new set of Nissan LEAF aluminum wheels, that I got as an extra set for the winter tires. The wheels originally had some generic hub caps with the wheels' firm printed on. Just print the objects with two different color filaments and push the "e" shaped one through the other. Add some super glue for permanent fixing. You should print them with a harder than PLA filament, since the items will be in direct sunlight and in high temperatures. Also, use a temperature near the top limit of the filament used, so as the lamination of the holding clips be as strong as possible. I printed mine out of PLA for testing and a few of the clips broke when adding them to the wheels. However, the cap fit very tightly and has been on for 4 months with no signs of moving. I am still on my original testing pair. TinkerCAD link: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/h1wT7FZX9Hh-leaf-wheel-center-cap
