Description

This adapter allows standard 4" / 100mm speakers to be installed in a BMW 2 series. I designed this with the door speakers in mind, but it should also work for the rear parcel shelf speakers. After printing crazytiti's F30 F31 speaker adapter, I noticed the car-side holes didn't align with the holes on the adapter on my F22 2 series (the F30 speakers must be slightly larger). This new adapter has the correct speaker screw circle for the 2 series and presumably also the F87 M2. To adapt crazytiti's design, I moved the bolt circle inward as well as slotted the mounting holes to match the design of the OEM speaker and added clearance around the bolt holes for the bolt heads. This Thing is marked as a Work-In-Progress as I haven't printed and installed this yet to ensure it will fit my 2 series. I may have to add additional bolt head clearance to make sure the OEM speaker bolts will fit, but I don't see any other reason it shouldn't fit. This should also fit the rear parcel tray speakers, but I've yet to test that. I've also included the.f3d file for easy modification. Applications: F20, F21, F22, F23, F87.
