Tesla Model Y Rigid Hatch Stops
Shared by
Michael ChenDescription
After picking up my Model Y I noticed that going over bumps or uneven roads there was a significant "boominess" in the cabin that created a low frequency, infrasonic sound that was quite irritating. After some research, I realized this problem is systemic to a lot of Model S and Model Y models because of slight movement of the rear hatch. After calibrating my rubber hatch stops with the "envelope trick" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4fYt06sfN0), it didn't remove the issue completely. There was some discussion on Tesla Motor Club forums about making the two hatch stops more rigid to prevent any flex. Therefore I created these slip-on rigid hatch stops. They are a tight fit (I recommend printing with a 0.4mm nozzle)- if you adjust the size, you'll probably only want to do it by 0.5%.
