Description

a center cap for volvo "Draco" style wheels, which are different dimensions from Virgo's and other common OEM wheels used on various volvos in the 80's and 90's. I included the Volvo logo for fun. Structurally these are a copy of the original volvo part. (which IS available for sale BTW). I added a drain/slot to help with removal. Might fit other wheels (I believe Orion's use the same cap)? The center features need to be printed solid and with a strong material as they hold the cap in the wheel with spring tension against a "lip" built for the purpose. On the volvo parts these caps are molded plastic with a spring clip to help them stay put. I included a feature for the clip, but it may not be necessary with the right material. My prototypes were printed from PLA with 20% infill and the spring force was too much for the material. Currently testing a version printed solid in PA-12 which seems pretty tough. 2 versions uploaded, with and without some extra guide features that probably only help if your wheels have a damaged center ring like one of mine does.
