Volvo Glove Box Shock Ball Joint

This is a fix for Volvo Part Number 9491713. The small plastic parts connecting this spring to the ball it hangs from broke off due to old age and I wanted to replace it. The part is pretty cheap, but it's a pain to install due to difficult to reach screws. Instead, I designed this part that can be glued onto the existing part without removing from the car. This was an easy, effective, and nearly free fix for this problem. All you have to do is clip off right below the existing ball socket and then slide this part over with some epoxy. There are a couple of holes that could be used for screws if you don't want to epoxy it.
