Description

This custom-designed replacement for the BMW E46 ashtray and storage insert solves the issue of the always-on 12V outlet. Normally the cigarette lighter/12V outlet remains powered even when the ignition is off. This insert includes a dedicated slot designed to fit a 21x15mm KCD switch, allowing you to turn off the outlet. Print in PETG or ABS to withstand heat. PLA may warp, especially during summer. This design is based on peterneuteboom’s ashtray insert from Thingiverse, modified to integrate the switch while maintaining a clean and functional look in the E46 interior. There are two insert versions: One for cars with the Smoker Package and one for cars without it.
