Description

This is the ambitious way to illuminate the front cupholder of your Multivan T6. It comes with the diffusion disc and the drilling template for diffusion disc assembly. Further you'll need a piece of aluminum from a silver beverage can, an aluminum metallized tape, a 3mm LED, a restistor, some wiring and a plug. Note the Post-Printing section! You can follow these steps as a rough guideline: - remove phone tray (to the right of the gearshift; 1 screw behind rubber mat) - remove the cupholder unit (4 screws: 2 above, 2 below) - pull out the drawer from the body as far as it will go - apply the drilling template - drill the bores with a 3mm / 6mm drill - deburr slightly from the within - attach the prepared diffusion disc and carefully hotmelt the 2 protruding pins - insert the 3mm LED and fix it with glue - wire it proffessionally, see photo(s). Care for proper strain release. - In my case a 1kOhm resistor gave a discreet brightness. - You can get the supply voltage from the cigarett lighters illumination, if there is any. Otherwise get it from the gray/blue (NOT blue/gray!) wire for instrument lighting. Either way, you should exactly know what you are doing, or leave it to a car electrician. - reassemble it all.
