Lotus Elise/Exige steering wheel badge emblem base

As these cars get older, the finish on both the airbag cover and on the steering wheel center emblem start to fall apart. It's easy enough to refinish the airbag with plastidip as many have done, but the emblem is more difficult as it is semi-permanently mounted into the airbag with metal tabs. If you need to remove those, it is difficult to install (or even to find) a new one. As a solution, I purchased a stick-on emblem (very nice, from here), and made this small piece to mount it to the wheel and provide a flat but secure surface. I attached it to the steering wheel with Shoe Goo -- a nice rubbery adhesive. All together, the new wheel looks great!
