Tim Taylor (timmyisasleep)Description
Part of removing the crumbling AC system from a 1995 NA MX5 involves removing the evaporator box from behind the dash. You can buy a replacement part to connect up the blower housing to the heater core, but where is the fun in that? This is a work in progress as only designed the ducting, I am yet to print and test fit the parts. Edit 22/04/2022, Uploaded the CAD models of the Ducts but I am yet to print them, so no idea if they fit or not. I have also draw up some bungs to plug the holes left by removing the box. One of them is for the box drain pipe, secured by a cable tie. And the other 2 push into the rubber grommets in the firewall. This is for the RHD version of the car, I believe (but cannot confirm) it is different for the LHD version. I have printed the Bungs in PetG due to close proximity to hot engine parts.
