OnePlus 7 phone mount with expanding clamps

I recently bought an MX-5 NB which had an aftermarket stereo with a pocket beneath it. So when looking to mount my mobile phone I wanted to try using that as a mount point So I designed a simple expanding clamp fixture, with a bottom plate, top plate 4 parrallel arms and using bamboo skewers for pivot pins. with a expansion spring of the right length held between two of the pivot pins on the diagonal, you can expand the spring by pushing the two plates over, slide it into the pocket whilst compressed then allow the spring to create a clamping force as it tries to pull the system back. I stuck some rubbery tape on the top/bottom surfaces to give a little more grip for the clamps The oneplus mount is setup to be horizontal, and clamp a cheap usb c cable in the correct location I used some m4 nuts/bolts to clamp the usb c in place. Similarly the holes on the back rail are the same spacing as the two holes on hte expanding clamp. I printed up a pair of the expanding clamps and bolted them to the rear rail of the phone mount to adjust the position where I wanted it.
