Description

A small and simple phone mount that clips into the air vent of the Model 3. I tested a few different mounting options including magnetic mounts next to the touchscreen, but wanted a simple design thats behind the steering wheel. I found this nice clip https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3789277 and had an idea to make a better version. Its much smaller and flat, so its quick and easy to print. Also better for Storage in the center console. I printed mine with flex filament (15% Infill), because of the higher grip and the ability to squeeze and stretch without leaving scratches or breaking. I think PETG or PLA would also be possible, but you may have to play with infill and wall thickness for the right amount of flex that is needed. Keep in mind that a PLA or Flex Version can't stay on the dash in summer, because of the low heat resistance. The size is designed for my 5.5" phone, but 5" or 6" should also fit (depending on the flex of your material). If you have any ideas to make it better, feel free to add a comment. Enjoy!
