this is my first upload im a total noob to 3d design this is a design based on a part i already fabricate and the design works very well i have not used a 3d printed version yet so use at your own risk! i have scaled everything to fit pretty well ive included test items for you to print and check the scaling of the threaded parts if you choose to print this id appreciate if you leave my logos on it if your going to print it and sell you absolutely must keep my logos on it thats all i ask! everything should be easily printed without supports id suggest going with a little lower then normal extruder temp and run cooling at 100% so the threaded parts come out nice. i added a version of the top and bottom half with supports for threads please print it. do NOT add support in your slicer you dont want a bunch of extra junk inside the can that could come loose and end up in your engine. I would also suggest using orings on all the fittings to insure an air tight seal i dont want to hear any blown ringland stories lol lol check out rocksteadytuning.com for all my wrx and sti parts! 12/31/17 update added top and bottom of catch can with supports for the threaded bungs i test printed it and the support snaps right out as planned and the fittings thread in perfectly now! also added file with the can assembled with some simple directions embossed on it! added a new pcv adapter with built in supports just print it with a brim and when its done twist the the support piece and pull it out! all the pieces and parts have been test printed i would just strongly suggest printing all the pieces one at a time. do not try to print the assembled cans it will not work. 1/2/18 updated the bracket to add some strength and made the fittings a little larger to better fit 1/2 inch hose. 1/21/20 this thing could be a lot better leave a comment if youd like to see me redesign this! we made a few of these in petg they were pretty cool but petg starts to deform pretty quick when its warm id suggest using abs or even better would be some kind of nylon g or nylon carbon fiber. and please sub my youtube! https://www.youtube.com/rstchan ill be posting 3d printer stuff along with some fun videos and fabrication were building some bmx frames from scratch so check it out!
