Description

I wanted to install a switch in a Tesla Model 3 and found this little cover plate under the monitor. It hold the interior temperature sensor. Rather than cutting a hole in the OEM part, I 3D printed a new cover with a hole for a switch built into it. The OEM cover has a slight bend to it, so I also included a mold that you can use. I used PLA for the cover (Tesla has “Cabin Overheat Protection” that makes PLA reasonable here), and PETG for the mold, so that my heat-gun would melt the PLA before the PETG. You can see a video showing how it's used here:.
