Description

This is designed to fit into the opening above the radio in my 95 FJ80. This design is an interference fit and in my car did not require any additional mechanical fasteners hold everything in place. The first insert is for a hands-free microphone, with a little trimming to the microphone housing required and hot melt or JB Weld used to hold the microphone to the insert (Fingerlakes 3.5mm). The other insert accepts a magnetic cell phone holder (Wizgear Universal). The cell phone holder is offset to keep the radio display from being obstructed and to prevent covering the microphone when the phone is in the horizontal position. This part is made up of three separate pieces so you'll need to split and rotate before printing; I printed with PETG and 20% fill. After a summer in Texas the insert holding the phone started to come out on rough roads or during turns. I added two pockets in the rear of the insert that accept 5/16" x 1/8" neodymium magnets (help with epoxy) and now everything stays in place.
