Toyota MR2 Cluster Enclosure for AiM MXS 1.2
Shared by
3DPrintedCarPartDescription
This is a replacement dash for a '91-'99 Toyota MR2 in order to use the AiM MXS 1.2 / 1.2 Strada dash and retain a close-to-stock look rather than mounting the dash in front of the existing dash. It re-uses the metal side brackets of the stock dash. There are 2 main versions: one is for just the AiM dash and the other is for the AiM dash plus 2 60mm BTI can gauges. There is also a one-piece version for anyone who has a large enough printer. I've also included my full wiring diagram (work in progress) to wire the AiM dash to the stock dash lights as well as to a stand-alone ECU (in my case, the ECUMaster EMU Black). The diagram includes all of the stock and aftermarket pinouts as well as some of the sensor calibration data obtained from the Toyota manual. Please note that I have not yet verified that all of the lights/sensor work as wired. So far, I've verified that the turn signals and high beam work and the water temp seems to be reading correctly so far. A couple other parts I made that might be useful when installing a digital dash into a '91-'99 MR2: Extended kick-panel fuse cover to allow space for using a fuse tap: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4765114 Covers for the stock dash connectors to cover the exposed pins while you have the dash out: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4765137
