Volvo 240 bulb holder
Shared by
3DPrintedCarPartDescription
Made a copy of joritestlab's VW bulb holder by importing into FreeCad and rebuilding from basic shapes. I am still trying to perfect the 3 keying tabs so they fit better in the Volvo housing and make them printable without supports, but the current model will work. This works with the same bulb socket the joritestlab recommends. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-1157-BAY15D-LED-Light-Lamp-Bulb-Socket-Holder-With-Wire-Connector/153966734883?hash=item23d921ee23:g:rRYAAOSwRn5dEvdo Some light sanding may be required to fit your specific housing. Printing: All my test prints have been in PLA with 100% infill with Repetier. I have been printing with the square base on the printer bed and no supports. There is an indexing pin on the Volvo housing, if a gasket is added, I recommend breaking off the pin and using a 38mm x 26mm x 3mm gasket.
