Description

i made a 3d model of a electronic diverter valve, blow off plate for a dodge dart turbo 1.4 liter. the point of this is for your cars built up turbo pressure to blow off into atmosphere rather than recirculate through the diverter valve passage. i tested in many materials to include pla, abs, petg, nylon and PC. pla and abs melted rather quickly after the car warmed up no pressure was ever sent through. petg and nylon both stood up to just an ambient warm up. but once i boosted the car and released the throttle for the pressure release eureka we have the famous sound and boom a code and check engine light. the petg and nylon both deformed in different ways and locations but still could not stand up long term. i have revised the design and printed it finally out of Poly carbonate filament. 2 days running in my daily commute with no deformations or issue set to the computer on board the vehicle. will update and post further pictures if necessary.
