Description

Please Note: I have designed this bracket for the roof of my 100 Series Landcruiser purely just to mount a solar panel. If you use this to carry any weight, then you do so at your own risk my dudes! I print these brackets using 40mm/s with 50% infill and 8layer walls. This seems to give me the right strength. I print in PETG however I'm sure Nylon would be best. This bracket has been designed to mount a piece of 40x20x2 mm aluminium tube. Simply bold down the brackets at each side, place a piece of 1400mm tube between the two sides, drill a hole through the tube using the bracket as a guide, then bolt them down. This seems to allow for a little bit of flex in the chassis and stops and stresses forming. The brackets are angled at 10 degrees to match the curves of the roof.
