Car Vent Phone Mount - 2007 Lexus IS, Belkin 3.5 mm Audio + Charge RockStar

3DPrintedCarPartDescription
Our Honda was totalled in a motor vehicle accident (thankfully nobody was seriously injured), so we got a new car, a 2007 Lexus IS. We didn't replace the stereo since it already came with a 3.5 mm auxiliary jack, so we got a Belkin 3.5 mm Audio + Charge RockStar. Thus, this version of the CVPM is designed for it, the iPhone Pro Max, and 2007 Lexus IS car vents. The new design also incorporates a change I had been wanting to implement since Face ID was introduced, which is to orient the screen towards the driver's face. The old design (see "Remixed from" section) worked well enough for interacting with the display, but by rotating the iPhone towards the driver, unlocking with Face ID is more reliable. No more turkey necking to get it to unlock! That means if you're making a secure request with Siri, e.g., "Hey Siri, give me driving directions to home," then this change means you can unlock your phone faster so you can turn your eyes back to the road more quickly. Unlike the Accord, this car allows for the centre vents to be opened or closed individually, so that allows for a shorter design. The prior design required the phone to sit a lot higher to avoid blocking the vent, so this one prints faster, uses less material, and allows more visibility through the windshield. For those that want to remix the design further, here is the file on OnShape: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/5f2b26318d11d8645e289865/w/a8f9acdf08097c44fe98ade7/e/25d26077915ec0605297a94e
