Description

This latch should fix the wind noise coming from rear windows in Chevrolet Silverados between 1999 and 2003 (?). It is about 1mm longer than the original so it pulls the window shut just a little further. I tested this in my Silverado and the wind noise is much less than it was with the original piece. I printed this out of PLA with 100% infill. I think it should be alright but I'm not sure what will happen in the summer when temperatures get over 100F degrees. The PLA may become a little malleable. Maybe a different material, like PETG, would be better... I'm not sure, I'll find out. I saw something similar to this for sale online for over $30, but it looked simple enough to try to design and print, not to mention way cheaper. On YouTube, search for "silverado wind noise" for some videos that show how to replace it. If it works for you, please click like and let me know in the comments or by clicking the "Like" button.
