Description

Car glovebox hinges are broken on the old commodore, along with the little catches that prevent the glovebox from opening too far. The original catch is made from rubber so the glovebox has a nice feel when it opens but ABS will do! I designed both parts in Fusion 360 and have attached the f3d files in case you want to improve or modify the design. Updated: I didn't notice the previous owner had tried to use doublesided mounting tape to fix the glovebox and so I had modelled the clip to include the thickness of the steel+tape. (I had a few drinks in me last night while I had the vernier callipers under the dash haha) I've since removed the mounting tape and remodelled the clip to suit just the steel as well as thickening the upper brace and top of the clip as well as making the top circular so the filament flows smoothly with no sharp rectangular angles which hopefully makes it stronger. They are fitted now and working well!
