Description

Replaces MOPAR 55037537AA. Will NOT fit Cherokee models 1984-1996. Should fit all trim levels of 1997-2001. Part has been thickened and gusseted in areas prone to failure on OEM parts. Print perpendicular to bed surface. This method ensures that the filament tensile strength gives the part its structure when in use, as opposed to the strength of the bonds between layers. Infill over 50% tends to make the part too stiff and has seen cracking at 100% infill. Infill type should be any 3D-based pattern to ensure strength when printing perpendicular to bedplate. Tri-hexagon was used for test parts. Tree supports and basic raft used. PLA prototype part has performed well since part installation. In-vehicle temperatures between 55F and 85F with no visible deformation or weakness of part. PETG and ABS would, naturally, be preferred choices for full longevity.
