Lexus IS220/IS250/IS350 phone holder + Qi wireless charging

3DPrintedCarPartDescription
This is a dash phone holder with a built-in Qi charger for a Lexus IS220/IS250/IS350. It's a springy compliant mechanism which clicks into your dash without damaging anything, and is easily removable with no traces! It's strong and supportive. I added a piece of transparent tape to the vent plastic where the mount rubs so it doesn't leave any scratches. The aim of the grille is compromised slightly up/down, but left/right is unaffected. It comes in 2 parts - the dash part and the phone part. The 2 parts either screw together with M3 screws, or glue together. The phone part is designed for a Xiaomi Mix 2S. The phone is 75mm wide and is a nice tight click-fit with a slight cut out for the on/off button. It's designed for slight flex with ABS (don't even think about PLA in a hot car!). If you need it for your phone, I'm happy to modify it if you throw me a tip:). Just measure the width, where your buttons are, and drop me a PM. If you want to use wireless charging, you'll need to do a bit of soldering. - The Qi charging module is this one from AliExpress: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/New-Qi-Fast-Wireless-Charger-PCBA-Circuit-Board-Transmitter-Module-Coil-Charging-High-Quality-Qi-Wireless/32951758605.html If you're buying this module, make sure it comes with the 9v input components (mine didn't!) - this will allow the full 10w fast charging. The wireless disc is secured with hot glue but would recommend epoxy if you're in a hot climate. You'll also need a step-down buck converter to take your 12v car voltage down to either 5v USB input, or 9v fast charging input depending on which you want. - I recommend this one as it has plenty of head room for fast charging (supports 30w without any additional cooling) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Automatic-Step-Up-Down-DC-Power-Supply-AT30-Converter-Buck-Boost-Module-Replace-XL6009-4-30V/32952614571.html - I tested it with this 'weaker' LM2596 module, but it does get quite hot. It only officially supports 10w without external cooling: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/new-1pcs-lot-LM2596S-LM2596-LM2596-ADJ-DC-DC-Step-down-module-5V-12V-24V-adjustable/32828600888.html I haven't yet figured out where to take the 12v from, but I'm sure there's a nice beefy 12v supply behind the nav screen - I'll be doing this next and will update the pics when I find one.
