Description

As the title says, this is a vacuum adapter for walnut blasting the intake port of your N54/N55-equipped BMW. If you're wondering what that is, here's a procedure: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=682116 It seems obvious that this would be a shoo-in for a 3D printed part, but I looked all over for a 3D print file for this application and could find none, so I made my own! Apparently because this part looks like the one made by BMW, BMW flagged it a while back as violating their IP rights and it was taken down by Thingiverse. This is complete BS, because while it may look like BMW's, it is completely of my own design and likely inferior to the one they make. anyway. If you think you might need this, I would encourage you to download it now. I apologize to anyone that has sent me an email about this in the past, but I am back into 3D printing now and will respond as below. The outlet is sized for a 1 1/4" shop-vac hose, and the hole is sized for 1/8" black pipe, but I can change the diameters easily. Just send me an email and I can post a new part file with your desired diameter. Also, if you want me to print one for you, just send me an email and we can work something out! You don't have to have the media blaster mentioned in the post--you can modify any cheap sandblaster to work: http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?1881774-DIY-N54-Intake-Valve-Walnut-Blasting Because this is a tool and you will likely be yanking and pulling on it, I would suggest printing at 100% infill. The walls are only 1/8" thick, so it won't use that much material. Print it with the round outlet on the build plate with a brim, not with the oval down as shown in the blue print file pic.
