Description

A solution to the design issue of Gen 3 (2022+) Nissan Frontier trucks where the driver side seat moves seemingly on its own. IMO this is caused by the larger of us hitting the seat back lever with our thigh when getting in/out. Normally most cars have an indent right above the seat controls, but this truck does not. This cover provides enough overhang to stop the controls being moved, while still allowing adjustments with the door closed. I chose this design instead of a half-moon cover since anything covering the top of the switches makes it very difficult to get your fingers on top of the switch with the door closed. Small enough to print on most cheap printers. I printed mine in PLA since I live in a colder climate but if you live in a very hot environment ASA is the way to go. I have it glued on with blutack and that seems to work just fine for me, but feel free to use the 4mm holes for permanent mounting. BE SURE TO LEAVE ROOM FOR SEAT ACTUATOR TO MOVE ALL THE WAY. I wouldn’t recommend long screws or self-tappers. The plastic is pliable enough where if you drill an undersized hole for your machine screw, it should cut threads going in just fine. Printed on Prusa Mini+ 0.20 layer height PLA Also included the source Fusion360 file with parameters if you want to easily mess with it.
