Description

My center console latch release broke and upon inspection I realized it was a flawed design, so I spent a few hours building a better one. I printed this once without the rounded edges on the backside and used a power sander to make them work for me. I modified the design to include that one improvement afterwards. To get the plate to pop onto the assembly you might have to cut a bit of plastic away just above the holes on the right side holes (oriented as installed in the vehicle). Just a warning, once you pop this on to the rest of the assembly it will be very difficult to get back off without breaking something... Print with support "everywhere" and with an overhand angle of 55 degrees (at 50 degrees Cura created some extra support that wasn't needed). 50% infill was sufficient. I would recommend ABS for anything you put in your vehicle, but I printed this with PLA and will replace if it every breaks again... Enjoy!!!
