VW/Audi Crankcase Breather Adapter
Shared by
3DPrintedCarPartDescription
This is an adapter designed to lengthen the crank-case breather hose in rare circumstances where the stock length can no longer reach the intake pipe. Only for use with the VAG slip-on connectors (no clue what they are formally called) *STRONGLY RECOMMEND* use of high thermal resistance filament. Some filaments may melt and could cause damage to your engine! I used Stratasys F123 CF10 ABS-Carbon Filament, holds up perfectly fine in extreme engine bay heat situations. By replicating the design of the OEM connector, original equipment crankcase hosing can be used. Some hoses may come with oversized o-rings (typically orange) and may be difficult to install onto the adapter. It may be possible to use motor oil to ease installation. To make full use of this adapter, a separate hose is required. - 06F 103 212 D - 06F 103 235 A Due to differences in OD, 07K PCV hosing may NOT WORK! The above part numbers are referred to as PCV hoses, but that becomes arbitrary once installed in a different vehicle. ----- In my 07K Golf, the stage 2 IE manifold relocates the throttle body forward a substantial distance. This causes the original hose coming out of the filter housing to not reach the intake piping. VW AG part number used for my purpose: (06F 103 235 A) More than enough length, but a heat gun can be utilized to separate the connectors, shorten the hose, and reinstall said connectors.
