Description

I designed this funnel to make it easier to refill my 2010 Honda CR-V's oil when doing my own oil changes, without accidentally spilling oil. It threads on in place of the oil filler cap and should fit many other Honda and Acura vehicles. This design is ~5 inches wide and ~3.5 inches tall, and is intended to be printed upside down as shown in the photos. *Note:* If the location of the oil filler port on your Honda/Acura can only accommodate a smaller funnel, you should be able to adjust your slicer settings to easily print a smaller funnel - just shift the model's location on the Z-axis down (placing the larger portion below the build plate) so the result prints only the portion of the funnel you want. *Printing tips* * MOST IMPORTANT - Print *UPSIDE DOWN* as shown in the photo of the finished print. The original model is upright, so you will need to rotate the model in your slicer so the funnel portion sits on the build plate. * I chose a layer height of 0.12mm (0.1mm should work too) to make sure the threads printed smoothly. * Print with 3 walls if using a 0.4mm nozzle. The funnel portion is 2.4mm thick, so this creates a perfectly solid funnel with no infill (0.4mm * 3 for outer + 0.4mm * 3 for inner = 2.4mm). * I *highly* suggest printing a *brim* on the outside and inside (I chose 10mm) to make sure the model adheres to the build plate. * The example in the photos was printed in PETG, but this model should print just as well with PLA.
