Mazda 3 2003-2008 cup holder insert
Shared by
3DPrintedCarPartDescription
An insert for the central console of a first (BK) generation of Mazda3 which allows smaller cups to be held securely. The original cup holder is not suitable for anything else than cups, because the side of the cup holder does open to the internals of the interior when the top is closed. Then things can (and will) slip away into the mechanism (close by is the handbrake mechanism so it's not safe). With this insert/spacer it's safe to put coins/tokens, keys and small items into the cupholder and closing it without a worry. Because the insert has a pretty big stable base, this variant (feel free ask for different dimensions, or take the sources) will fit only from a side, so it has to be installed when the cupholder mechanism is taken out from the center console, however taking it out takes about a minute. And then the inserts hole has to be put first into the center separator notch between the 2 cup holes and only when the whole body is twisted inside, then rotate it into it's possition. https://youtu.be/GbquppsiCZg
