Description

This is a total redesign from just a week ago. This version is rounded and has a rounded hook to latch onto the steering wheel. The strap holes for velcro is still there if you don't want to use the handle. This Tesla Model 3 Steering wheel balancer is designed for the left side of the wheel. If you want to mount it on the right, print a mirror image. The fit is fairly tight and I have not had a chance to road test it. I think it will stay on the wheel even if the wheel is turned. Ideally this should only be used on the highway and there will be no reason to turn the wheel so much that this would be upside down. The bottom ledge will be under the wheel and it should allow it to stay on, but still be removable. The lid should be glued on. I use CA glue. The hook arm is glued to the back. Note the placement, it should be against the velcro loop holder or with in 10 mm. 10mm will push the weights further out the wheel and provide more torque, but it could possible hit your fingers more while driving This still uses the same wheel weights as the original, and holds 12 ounces. I think this is much more functional and refined. Still not perfect, so there still maybe some more changes. Most likely I will be rounded the end of the hook where it hits the wheel in the front. Print and enjoy a balanced wheel And obviously this needs supports........... to smooth PET and PLA support areas, File off rough edges and then heat with lighter or heat gun and rub with hard smooth object to smooth out area touching the supports.
