Description

Tesla Model 3 Frunk Grocery Hooks ## Requires a Model 3 delivered after July/August 2020 with the new frunk design (textured bottom, not smooth) I loved that the frunk used to have grocery hooks, and when they took them out and then updated the frunk so that it was even harder to install your own, I decided to design some that fit the new design and that were relatively easy to install. ## Printing You will need to rotate the parts. Print flat side down. See the image for how to identify the flat printing bottom (it is the side without the notch near the washer). Be sure to print both the L and R sides (unless you only want one hook or the other!). ### Material If you can, use PETG because it's softer and more durable. ### Settings Add some more infill (30-40%) and perimeters (3+) for sturdiness. More important for PLA, less important for PETG. ## Installation See pictures. You will need a 10mm socket wrench with an extension head to unscrew the bolt holding the frunk cover on. Do not worry, nothing will pop open or fall off when you take these bolts out. They are just there to secure the plastic cover. This is completely safe, and there is only one screw on each side. If you or Tesla Service has never removed these bolts before (i.e. they are still like they came from the factory), it may take a bit of force to loosen the bolt. Don't worry, you won't break anything, they are supposed to be removed easily. Remove the bolt and washer completely, and insert the bolt and washer into the 3D printed part. Be sure to look on the bottom of the part, each one is labeled L/R for the left and right side of the frunk, *as you are facing the front of the car.* The washer should fit perfectly into the part, then simply reinstall the bolt with the 3D printed part attached. Tighten snugly but not too hard, otherwise you will crack your print. (If someone has a torque wrench and can find out a good ft-lb to tighten to, that would be awesome!) Note: The plastic part that sticks up does NOT hit the hood when closed. There is enough clearance. ## That's It! Now you have grocery hooks in your 2020+ Model 3 frunk! Enjoy.:)
