Hi, This is a speaker adapter for a 1988 Volvo 740. The factory mounts are oval and this allows a 5.25'' (13cm) speaker to be used in the doors. It also allows the original cover to be put back in place. Front and back doors are the same so it will work for both. Will probably fit other Volvos are this era too. New screws that come with speakers to be used to mount to door and old screws from original speaker to be used to mount new speaker on adapter. Note: You will more than likely have to modify the speaker mounting bracket. Happy printing!
