VW Golf Mk2 to Mk1 seat handle conversion part
Shared by
3DPrintedCarPartDescription
This is to adapt Mk2 seats to golf Mk1. Mk2 seats have screw holes to fit the Mk1 handle on the other side (as required), but there is no welded-on retainer for the 8mm rod of the adjuster handle. Without a retainer it's not possible to fit or adapt the Mk1 spring and handle. My solution is to make a 3D-printed part that can be clipped onto the other side of the seat using a jubiliee (hose) clip. This supports the end of the rod in the correct position for assembling all the MK1 handle parts to the Mk2 seats.
